Finals Survival Gear – Spring Semester 2006

So that time of year has come around again. Despite the fact that it’s raining beautifully again and the snow is gone, it can still be a stressful time. The word ‘finals’ in no way, scares me as much as it did when I was a first year, but I can still feel the tension. It’s been a crazy time around CPC so I decided that the Spring Semester 2006 edition of the "Finals Survival Gear: The Mixed Tape" would have a bit of a mellow feel.

So after a lot of procrastination time I have made the final list:

Side A:
Eleanor – Low Millions
Post Modern Girls – The Strokes & Regina Spektor
There’s A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey. You Just Haven’t Thought Of It Yet. – Panic! At The Disco
7 Minutes in Heaven – Fall Out Boy
Kiss You Better – Maximo Park
Arms Around Me – The Departure
January 1979 – mewithoutyou
Resolution – Motion City Soundtrack
Don’t Look Away – Joshua Radin
Crooked Teeth – Death Cab For Cutie
Bohemian Like You – Dandy Warhols
Back To You – Jeremy Kay
Represent, Cuba – Orishas
Bandages – Hot Hot Heat
Save Your Scissors – City and Colour
Bet She Looks God On The Dance Floor – Arctic Monkeys
Gone Up in Flames – Morning Runner
Touched – Vast
Standing On My Own Again – Graham Coxon
Call ‘n’ Return (Say That You’re In To Me) Hellogoodbye
The Fog – Kara’s Flowers
Hands In My Pocket – Jim Guthrie

Side B:
Love Will Come Through – Travis
Clark Gable – The Postal Service
Home Michael Buble
Slung-Lo – Erin McKeowin
Your Love Means Everything – Coldplay
A Million Years – Teddy Geiger
Thinking About You – Radiohead
Intuition – Feist
The Grace – Neverending White Lights
If It Smashes Down – My Morning Jacket
Summer is Coming – Matt Pond PA
Gorecki – Lamb
Hoppipolla – Sigur Ros
I Am In Love With You – Imogen Heap
Stop Joking Around – Hawksley Workman
Love of the Loveless – Eels
Keep It Loose, Keep It Tight – Amos Lee
Commin Home – City and Colour
Rain – Breaking Benjamin
The Bronze – the Lovely Feathers

And I know, there is no Yo-Yo Ma gracing my list this year. I realized this just after I had burnt off the CD’s, so for an honourary spot I nominate “Cello Suite No. 1, 4. Sarabande” I tell you it is the best music to study by.
