"Yargh, I bring yea the gift of Scurvy!"

I have a final tomorrow and in my tradition I am procrastinating. After all who needs to study for a “Tech for Ministry” class anyway? It is interesting to see how technology has impacted our culture and the church in particular, but I am pretty sure that I can pull it out of no where tomorrow.

Anyway I had a pretty fun weekend: The CPC Christmas party was hilarious. The class skits were amazing. Second only to my classes rendition of the Christmas story as a group of five-year-olds, pirates and mimes (I was a wise man) was Josh Brown. He and his class asked out a music video for “I like Big Bibles” Lucky I don’t think that many of the authority figures in the room (including my mom) know that it was a remake of the I like big Buts song. So good. It was nice to see everyone dolled up. And I felt really sorry for Matt. He and a few friends put on a short rap show for us. Unfortunately we are all chronically white. The closest thing we have to hommies at our school is Joe, because he is half Asian. I would pay to have a video of us trying to dance.

After a not so satisfying three hours of sleep we were packing for our trip to Regina. If anyone knows the secret to sleeping in vans or airplanes, please tell me! I just can’t do it. I slept for maybe 15 minutes the whole day. And during a nine-hour flight this summer I maybe slept for 45 minutes. HELP!

I really like the band from CPC. They are a really talented group of musicians who are not only passionate about music, but also about their faith. The services were so good. God really moved through us and I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to travel around worship with so many people. And I really do like propaganda: Come to CPC!!!

Quotes of the weekend:
“That’s good teaching, you should get under that” – Just about everybody.
“Yarh, me water be breaken” - Terrin the Pirate Marry
“I’m the messiah!!!” – Piper a.k.a. baby Jesus
