Mountain Montage

I was driving through the mountains on my was home from bc this week and I don’t think that I can really describe how beautiful the snow laden mountains were. I love long drives for two reasons: Lost of time to just listen to music, and a lot of time to think. This drive, on the other hand, was longer than long. I got home before that huge blizzard that even shut down Saskatoon, but I did hit some crazy road conditions. Most of the trip was spent going 70 in 110 km/hr zones. But the moments when the roads didn’t require my total concentration I was stunned by the beauty outside my windows.

Maybe it’s a little flaky to say, but some things are so beautiful that they actually make me hurt. That was the case when I took these pictures. As previously stated road trips are a chance to catch up on so much music. I threw in Chris Tomlin latest album and this song struck me as perfect:

Raise your hands, all you nations
Shout to God all creation
How awesome is the Lord Most High

We will praise You together
For now and forever
How awesome is the Lord Most High

The pictures really don’t do it all justice… neither does my attempt at taking pictures while driving…

Vancouver Montage

Here are a few pictures from my drive up here this week. I missed seeing the mountains in the winter. And of course another sight for sore eyes!
Song track for this montage: “Ruthless Gravity” Craig Armstrong
