My little civic...

Hey, what’s up everybody, Merry Christmas and happy new year and all that.

Christmas has been really good at my house this year, lots of good family and friends time, but unfortunately we lost a part of our family this year. After 12 years the Civic is gone. After my brothers slid off the road two weeks ago we have been fighting with SGI over the value of our car, the potential of buy back ect. But after allot of thought it was decided that it would cost far too much to fix the poor thing, and it was time to let go. I love that car, my little green civic… I learnt how to drive in that car, took my first road trip in it, learnt how to do doughnuts and got my first speeding ticket in it’s beautiful gray interior. Understandably it was really sad to see her go. Believe it or not I actually cried…

Anyway as a result of only having two cars for a busy family of four the pressure was on for my dad to find a car in record time. The fastest he has ever found a car was three months, and compared to the seven of his previous purchase we thought that was fast. Needless to say we didn’t see the two day car search ending anytime soon. There we no good civics on the market and hey are actually really expensive to buy second hand compared to other cars. For example a 1995 civic coup with A/T/C and CD was $7000 compare that to a Saturn 2001 coupe with A/T/C CD ABS power locks double air bags ect... for bout the same price. Weird hey? Anyway much to my dismay my dad found a 2002 maroon Saturn with every possible feature, standard with a 1.9L twin cam engine for about $8000. You can’t really argue with that. I did have my heart set on a beautiful little civic, but I have to let my little car go…

Today I did see a commercial for the TV show that I TVA for. That was really cool and just might be a milestone for me, just like seeing my name on the credits for the first time.
